Japanese avant guitarist and noise legend returns to Toronto for an obviously-not-to-bemissed performance. Extreme guitar mastery piercing tones, heavy shredded chords, busted walls of noise. Don’t sleep on this heavy hitter!BRIAN RURYK
Toronto avant garde anti-legend Brian Ruryk is easily one of the city’s best kept secrets, Ruryk has been manipulating the concepts of sound since the 80s. Free jangled guitar notes spray over a live collage of junk percussion & chaos. Tape samples squeal out amongst herky jerky clatter of Ruryk’s eclectic set up. Much like the coming together of puzzle pieces in a way in which they do not fit, then experiencing the process in which the puzzler, instead of sorting the pieces, just cuts & mangles them to create a new image.

See you tonight! Here’s some important info!

The gate will open at 5 PM today, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday! Tickets will be available at the gate.

Some things to remember:

  1. This is a cash-only event!
  2. Bring your drinking water, flashlight, your warm clothing for nighttime, your rain jacket or umbrellas, sunscreen, bug spray, hygiene products, tent, sleeping bag, bathing suit, and towel (for swimming at beaches in Meaford).
  4. Cars go in the parking area, and tents go in the marked-off camping areas. Signs will direct you. If you are confused, ask gate staff for clarification.
  5. You are expected to be respectful to those around you. Among other things, that means:
    No racism
    No sexism

Gate Opens @ 5 PM on Friday! Tickets Available!

The EE gate will be operational on Friday at 5 PM! It will also be open from 11 AM until late on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be available at the gate! $95/ weekend and $50/ day, but you can buy discount passes up until late morning on Friday through our Tickets page!

Howdy, all! We’re only two weeks out at this point. Discount day passes are up now, at the same price as last year ($40). This represents a $10 savings over gate price, and gets you 1 day of all the stuff that happens at the festival, including 1 night of camping!

Weekend passes are currently $70 (a $25 savings over the gate price), and include the full 3 days and nights, with camping. On July 24th, these passes will go up $5 in price, so get yours ASAP!

Of course, for those who don’t mind exchanging a little volunteer work for a free weekend pass, we still have some volunteer spots open! Head over to the volunteer page to see about those.

Full schedule of performers will be released next week, too!
