NIGHTLIFEGUARD is a performative art experiment created by Vanessa B. Rieger.
Vanessa B. Rieger started the NIGHTLIFEGUARD project back in 2011 in response to many of their friends being injured while pool hopping in Toronto’s downtown pools. Taking on the role as social art performance, NIGHTLIFEGUARD’S mandate is to “Provide safety, while facilitating PARTY!” Since then their project has evolved from the decks of urban swimming pools to the dance floors of art and music festivals, becoming active in facilitating Safe Space policies in Toronto’s music and art scene.
NIGHTLIFEGUARD has performed at various events such as New Traditions, ALLCAPS, Camp Wavelength, and will be returning this year to Electric Eclectics for their 4th year. SEE YOU ON THE DANCEFLOOR!
